Privacy Policy
Draft last updated: 23 October 2026
Draft pending review. This page describes how the website actually works, and the operator, contact address and hosting provider are now stated. Two things are still open: no governing law has been chosen, and no retention periods are set for hosting logs. The contact address also has no mailbox behind it yet, so mail sent there does not arrive. Please treat this as an accurate description rather than a finalised legal document.
This page explains what happens to information you type into the tools on this website, what the website sends elsewhere, and what it does not do.
Who operates this website
This website is operated under the name PPC Tools 101. It publishes free micro tools for marketers.
You can reach us at hello@ppctools101.com with questions about this policy or about how your information is handled.
That address is not receiving mail yet. The domain is live and serves this site, but no mailbox has been created behind the address, so messages sent to it today will not arrive. This note will be removed once the address is working.
Information you enter into the tools
The tools on this website run in your browser. When you type or paste a URL, a list, or any other text into a tool, that text is processed by code running on your own device.
The application contains no code that sends tool input to a server. UTM Builder, the one tool currently available, builds its links locally, and its CSV export is generated in your browser and saved directly by it. No file is uploaded.
There are no file upload fields anywhere on the website, so no files leave your device through it.
This applies to UTM Builder, Bulk URL Parameter Editor and Keyword Wrapper. Each one does its work on your device.
Bulk URL Checker is the exception. It cannot work in the browser alone, so the URLs you submit to it are sent to our own server. That is described in the next section.
Bulk URL Checker
Unlike the other tools, Bulk URL Checker sends each URL you submit to an endpoint on this website. That endpoint requests the URL, reads the response headers, follows HTTP redirects, and returns the status codes and final address to your browser. It does not download, store, or render the content of the pages it checks.
Submitted URLs and their results are not intentionally stored. They are held only for as long as it takes to answer the request, and no list of checked URLs is kept between visits.
To stop the endpoint being abused, the number of checks is limited. The limiter stores short-lived counters keyed by a salted hash of the requesting IP address. It does not store the IP address itself, and it does not store the URLs being checked.
Because the URLs you paste are transmitted, avoid submitting private links or URLs that contain passwords, access tokens, or other secrets. URLs that contain a username or password are rejected without being checked.
Cookies and browser storage
The website sets no cookies and writes nothing to localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to on this front. Anything you enter into a tool exists only for as long as the page is open, and is gone when you close or reload it.
Request a tool submissions
The Request a tool page has a form with three fields: what you would like the tool to do, how you handle that task today, and an optional email address.
Submitting the form sends those fields to an endpoint on this website, which forwards them to the destination the site owner has configured. The submission is used only to decide which tools to build. It is not used for marketing, and it is not shared with anyone beyond that destination.
No destination is configured at the moment, so the form cannot accept submissions. When you try to send one, the page says so plainly rather than pretending the message was delivered. Nothing you type is transmitted or stored while it is in this state.
To limit abuse, the endpoint counts submissions per sender using the same short-lived counter described below. It stores a salted hash of the requesting IP address and a number, not the content of your message or your email address.
Once a destination is connected, the provider handling it and any retention it applies will be named here before the form goes live.
Analytics and tracking
This website contains no analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixels, no session replay, and no error monitoring service. The site does not track you across pages or across websites.
Third parties and technical data
Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, at fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Because your browser requests those files directly, Google receives your IP address, your user agent, and the page that triggered the request. This happens on every page of the site. Google describes its own handling of that data in its privacy policy.
Apart from Google Fonts, the website requests no third-party scripts, styles, images, or other assets.
The website is hosted on Vercel, which also runs the server-side part of Bulk URL Checker and the request form endpoint. Web servers and content delivery networks commonly record request logs that include IP addresses, and this policy does not claim otherwise. What Vercel's logs contain and how long it keeps them are governed by Vercel, not by this website, and are not restated here as fact.
Rate-limit counters for Bulk URL Checker are kept in a hosted Redis database. Those entries hold a salted hash of the requesting IP address and a count, expire within minutes, and never contain a URL.
Retention and deletion
The website itself stores nothing about you, so there is nothing held here to delete. Retention periods for hosting logs, and for any future contact form submissions, depend on the providers involved and are not confirmed yet.
Privacy requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you, or to object to its processing. Because this website stores very little, there is often nothing held here to act on, but you are welcome to ask.
Send privacy requests to hello@ppctools101.com. As noted above, this mailbox is not active yet, so there is no working channel for such a request at this moment.
Changes to this policy
This page will change as the website changes, for example if the contact form is connected or if any measurement tooling is ever added. The date at the top shows when the text was last edited.
